Well done to all those runners that took part in the Surrey half-marathon on Sunday. It was another great showing from the runners at Holland Sports with multiple PBs from the athletes that lined up on the start line on what was another beautiful spring morning. Great to see Emma Proto (1 hour 29 minutes and 28 seconds), Rosie Fontaine (1 hour 37 minnutes and 45 seconds) and Katherine Ellis (42 minutes and 58 seconds) running so well. Great too, to see Kirsty Cutting finish in a group of Holland Sports runners in a time of 1 hour 44 minutes and 3 seconds, alongside Lucy Berryman (1 hour, 44 minutes and 18 seconds) and Sophie Lovie (1 hour 44 minutes and 49 seconds). Mark Champagne (1 hour 47 minutes and 51 seconds) finished strongly and the ever-young Aziouz Lammali, clocking his first half-marathon of the year (1 hour 32 minutes and 38 seconds), continues his preparations for another strong showing over 50 miles in the next month or so. If you’d like to get involved with the friendly group of local runners in the Oxted and Hurst Green area, pop along to a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening session to see what we are about!
