It might be the ‘off-season’ for track and field in the northern hemisphere, but south of the equator, the track and field season is just about getting underway! And so it was that South African and Holland Sports’ 2nd claimer, Oloff Van Zyl, found himself on Strand Beach just south of Cape Town in the Bolands Pole Vault Academy’s annual ‘Beach Vault’ event. As you can see by the pictures and video, it’s a pretty cool place to undertake pole vault, something that the club do every year to celebrate the start of the South African summer.
