Athletes from the Junior Middle Distance squad were in action over the weekend in the first Surrey League cross-country fixture of the season, held at the Mill Lane track in Hurst Green. In the Under 13 Girls races, Ella (33rd) led Abby (57th) home whilst in the Under 13 Boys race, Thomas (46th) and Lewis (57th) made great cross-country debuts. In the Under 15 Girls race, Holly came home 24th, with clubmate Hannah coming home in 57th. For the Under 17 Girls, Mia (35th) was followed home by Ella (45th) who was making her cross-country debut. Well done Charlie in the U15 Boys race for coming home in 40th place: a great performance.

Great to see new athletes representing Holland Sports Athletics Club, gaining a lot from the buzz and excitement of racing – especially around our local area. Onwards and upwards as the athletes prepare for the next Surrey League race at Beckenham Park Place on November 15th.
