The Junior and Intermediate cross-country team were in action again at the weekend, racing at Epsom Downs in the Downs Cross-country league in windy but bright conditions. And the results show the next generation of talent at Holland Sports Athletics Club is improving race by race.

Congratulations to all the Holland Sports runners that ran on the top of the Downs. Notable performances came from Maisie, 18th, and Joe, 36th, making tangible progress both in the improvement of their  finishing positions and the personal best times they set in completing their respective Under 11 races.

Well done too, to Nicky D, who returned to racing at the weekend and finished in 29th place in her race in a time of 15.09: a great result as she steps up both in age-group and in distance this year.

Well done to all the athletes that took part from Holland Sports: the improvement is visible to see for both the coaching team and parents. We look forward to the next Downs League fixture on 1st February 2026.
