Chris Blackburn was involved in the European Masters Championships on Tuesday afternoon, running in a stacked 5000m track race, that saw some of the fastest 50-54 year olds from across Europe gather in Madeira to win medals on the track. The race was taken out fast, with the pace dropping in the middle part of the race before a final rush to the line that saw the fast-finishers in the race fight it out for the medals. Chris finished a very creditable 6th place, representing both Holland Sports and Great Britain at the highest level.
