Holland Sports athletes returned to Battersea Park on Sunday morning to take part in the British Masters 5k Road championships: and the visit turned out to be just as successful as Friday nights’ racing. Conditions were cold, dry and still for the two lap race around the park – with many athletes picking up PBs in the autumn sunshine.

Well done to the V35 ladies’ team of Lucy Berryman, Kirsty Cutting and Gemma Hall (20.42) who picked up a British team bronze in their event. Lucy finished in a PB of 18.35, with Kirsty also picking up a PB of 20.12.

The V45 team of Steve Aish, James Ellis and Chris Blackburn went one better than their bronze medal last year by taking home the silver team medal. Chris Blackburn also picked up individual bronze in the V50 age category. Well done to Nick Morrison (PB of 17.44) and Nick Hickman (19.10) who backed up the medalling trio.

Well done to the V55 men’s team of Aziouz Llamalli, Paul Ramsier and Andy Cornish – the first time that Holland Sports has fielded a team in a British championships in this age category. And a special shout out to Adrianne Gibbon (22.03), Cat Neave (20.40), Sarah O’Niell (20.54) and the husband and wife powerhouse of Nick (19.10) and Amy Hickman (25.26) for some great running around Battersea.
