A year ago, Paul and Angela Ramsier stayed overnight in Hastings in preparation for the Hastings half-marathon but due to hazardous chemicals being found along the route, the race was cancelled. That didn’t stop them meeting up with other runners and staging their own version of the race around the town of Hastings; the type of people that both the Ramsiers are made the best of the situation as they ran some of the lanes around the East Sussex town with other fellow runners and enjoyed the scenery and roads along the south coast.

A year later and there were no such problems. Well done Angela, who continues her preparation for the up-coming Edinburgh half and who finished in a time of 2 hours, 22 minutes and 40 seconds and the ever-young Paul, who finished in a time of 1 hour, 38 minutes and 48 seconds. From the pictures, you can see it was another great way to start a Sunday morning!
