A busy weekend of running action kicked off with a series of cross-countries up and down the country. Well done to Holland Sports’ second-claimers, Ben Pearce, Miles Brown and Douglas Aikman who all competed in the British Universities and Colleges (BUCS) cross-country championships around an undulating course in Loughborough. Two racfes are always run in the BUCS Championships: a long course and a short course event.

well done to Ben who came 90th in the long course event, with Douglas coming 145th. In the short course event, Miles came home in 79th.

Elsewhere Ben Hilson was involved in the Southern Inter-Counties cross-country Championships, coming home 18th in the Under 20 men race. Ben has recently transitioned to the senior squad at Holland Sports so it is great to see his continued progress as an athlete and member of the senior cross-country team at Mill Lane.
