After only returning to running fairly recently, Christian Lee became the senior county champion over 800m this summer in a time of 1 minute 55 seconds. Building fitness and base endurance through the winter with the senior squad through a mixture of track and grass sessions, as well as competing in all the Surrey League cross-country races, Christian hit the ground running with some indoor races at the very start of the track season, before moving on to competing in some of the local British Milers Club races and graded track meets locally. The season promises to be a good one with Christian due to run over 800m, 1500m and 5000m on the track, looking to better his PBs from his time running as a junior: watch this space!

If you ran at school or university and have subsequently had a spell out of running, come and give us a try. The senior squad is warm, welcoming group of runners of all abilities who meet Tuesdays (at the track @ 7.00pm) and Thursdays (Mill Lane car park for a road run @ 7.00pm) and most Saturday mornings (9.00am at the track).
