Twelve athletes from Holland Sports made their way to Wimbledon Park for Hercules Wimbledon’s 5000m festival, a series of graded races on the track that culminated with an elite race featuring the club’s Jack Kavanagh. Great to have a growing number of young athletes join the more senior athletes for these races, which started in the early afternoon and continued to the early evening. Well done to Harvey Voller in getting close to the 16.00 minute barrier and Ben Hilson for just ducking underneath it: great in the warm conditions. Another super event which the club will be supporting next year as we look to progress the young athletes in the ranks.
