Members of the senior speed and endurance squad were at Wimbledon on Wednesday night for the annual 3000 metre graded meeting. Featuring 10 races, all with pacers to suck runners round and keep them to time, all but one of the Holland Sports runners attained PBs on what was almost the perfect evening for running – still and cool. Well done to all those from Holland who ran, as well as all those connected to Holland Sports. Holland Sports second claimer Sam Walker (9.22 PB) kicked off proceedings narrowly beating Surrey League winning Ruby Carter (9.24 PB) who finished strongly over the last 400 metres – there is more to come from both. Chris Blackburn (V50) achieved the second fastest time in his age group in the UK this year (9.08). Ben Hilson (9.04) and Mark Burchett (8.59 PB) both completed well judged races before Andy Green (8.24 PB) and Jack Kavanagh (7.54 PB) completed the evening.
