Jack Kavanagh was in international action last week as he raced a World Athletics Federation event in Prague, in the Czech Republic. Jack has been very much the international traveller of late, as he has raced in Norway over 10k, Belgium over 5k and now the Czech Republic. Racing the Czech national champion on the track, conditions were not favourable for fast times as the wind was gusty along the straights so it ewas down to racing instinct – to which Jack excels. Letting his main rival push the pace on with about 2k to go, Jack then rounded his competitor with about 600 metres to go to finish off a successful twelve and half laps. With Jack’s continued success domestically, he has caught the eye of Team GB selectors, and will race for the first time of 10k on the road in Spain this weekend in a brand-new Team GB kit – things continue to be on the up for Jack!
