Well done Hollland Sports’ Jack Kavanagh who once again PB’d this season – this time over the mile. Breaking the 4 minute barrier is a right of passage for any aspiring middle distance runner and Jack shows once again why he is one to watch is we head into the autumn season. Running over a shorter distance to Jack’s preferred 5k road and 5000 metres track distances, he shows that he has the raw speed to compete with some of the best runners in the south-east. Jack has a series of races coming up where he hopes once more to prove why he is an athlete to watch, running on the continent against some of Europe’s best before running the national 5k road champs in Cardiff.
Holland Sports’ Andrew Green, who has PB’d ocer 3000 metres on the track and 5k and 10k on the road this year, was also in attendance, running 4.20 over the mile – with Mark Burchett just behind him in 4.27: a great evening’s performance.
