Two Holland ladies took part in the Run the Wharf 5k that snaked and looped around Canary Wharf last night. Both were looking for sub 20s and had been on the track on Tuesday night running 200 metre repetitions at race pace, loosening up and getting a feel for running 4 minute kilometres. Well done to both Emma Proto (19:44) and Kirsty Cutting (20:16) who both peppered the 20 minute boundary – a real line in the sand for those wanting to train and run quickly: both times auger well for the up-coming cross-country season when the Holland ladies team will be in action in the surrey x-country league.
If you would like to come to the track and see what Holland Sports Athletics Club can offer, either make contact through the website or pop down and have a look at what we do. There are a real range of runners involved. Don’t let the ‘Athletics Club’ tag put you off – there really is something for everyone. Have a browse through the website and make contact!
