The track season continues to gain pace, with multiple events for seniors and juniors taking place each weekend. The senior men were in action on Friday night around the track at Battersea, taking part in a series of graded races over twelve and a half laps. There is nowhere to hide when the going starts to get tough over this distance, and the going always gets tough at some point! Add to this the heat of the Friday evening and conditions didn’t prove to be favourable for PBs, although there was still some great racing to be seen and a great atmosphere, with a bar and food trackside, to take in.

Well done Ben Hilson (15.58) and Mark Burchett (16:00), who kicked off events in the first race, Sam Burgoyne (15.37), Ben Pearce (16:05), Kieran Barnes (14.57) and Andy Green (14.47). Jack Woods (15:08) finished proceedings in terms of Holland Sports interest in the B race towards the end of the evening. More races are coming on the track in the coming month or so, so watch this space!
